The Snake & Blossoms collection is my first attempt at digital collage. I’m an instructional designer so it’s not like I’ve never edited images, created my own icons, mixed existing imagery, etc. However, it was the first time that I was doing it outside of work and with only creative exploration in mind not a task or learning goal in mind.
Think that’s one of the most rewarding parts of my artistic exploration and expression, it is the first time my creative expression is not owned. Working for a large corporation for the last 16 years, none of what I have produced is my own, they own everything. For the longest time I was stuck in the mode of only creating for money or purpose. Finally, it’s just for me…and for you, but only if you want it to be. I create for me then have hopes that the delight I find in it ripples outward. If not to you, maybe to someone else.
Perfect for anyone who sees beauty in all creatures and plants. You could print it on a colored paper or keep it grayscale and add it to an eccentric frame.
This collage was created on a laptop using a variety of software combining non-copyright imagery. There are three images in the series, you decide if you want one or all of them.
You're purchasing the 8×10 png digital download file. No physical item will be shipped to you, and the frame is not included.
